32 Channel PLL Controller for the Bosch KF163

This circuit is a spin-off from the KF163-Tracker project. The transceiver used in this project is a Bosch KF163. The KF163 exists in a number of varieties. There are KF163s with a PLL using a Siemens S187. Another variety, known as the "dig X" model, uses a PLL circuit built around a custom IC of which little information is known. It is called the "dig X", because originally these KF163 had 10 channels.

The KF163 PLL controller kit is designed to fit in these "dig X" models. With this KF163-PLL controller it is possible to select up to 32 different radio channels. The KF163-PLL32 module is in fact a plug-in replacement for the obsolete CDP18U42 EPROM.

The KF163-PLL32 kit consists of a circuit board, all components, and a description. The kit is easy to build. The assembled circuit board is simply plugged in the KF163 where the CDP18U42 EPROM used to be. For channel selection you can add switches. There are 5 address lines available to select up to 32 channels. The PLL control module has been pre-programmed with these frequency settings. 1: 145.2000

32: 144.8000 You will be able to change these 32 channel presets with the help of a configuration tool. You can choose frequencies in a 10 kHz or a 12.5 kHz raster. All chosen frequencies have to fit in the same raster. You may also select which channels have a repeater shift.

Postage and packaging cost depends on size and weight of the goods. In principle we ship at lowest possible cost. Many items are small and the order value is low. Therefore we ship those items using the Postal Service (TNT Post) as priority mail. This is inexpensive and for most destinations reliable, but does not offer the possibility to track and trace the shipment. If you wish a more secure shipping method (some destinations with insurance) then this is possible. Please contact us before placing an order to agree alternative shipping method and cost.
